When Sheridan approached me about shooting her wedding, I was beyond thrilled. I have gotten to know her over the years and have developed a strong sense of respect for her. You see, I generally limit myself to no more than five weddings per year. So, when Sheridan asked if I would shoot her wedding, I knew without hesitation that one more of my five slots had just been filled!
Scott and Sheridan exchanged their wedding vows on family property in mid February. Unseasonably high temperatures made for a perfect day for an outdoor wedding. The wedding ceremony was a small, intimate event attended by family members and close friends. It was held on the deck of what will be the new couples' home. Scott wore jeans, black shirt and vest, a red tie and a black cowboy hat. While Sheridan looked absolutely stunning in a David's Bridal strapless lace dress with a sweetheart neckline and beaded belt.
A wedding reception immediately followed the wedding ceremony. The guests were treated to drinks, Hors d'Oeuvres, and cupcakes. The wedding cake was a white two-tiered cake covered with roses. Scott and the rest of the groomsmen changed into Superhero t-shirts and Sheridan changed into a black party dress.
As a photographer, weddings are always fast paced and pressure packed. Because of my friendship and respect for Sheridan, I did not feel any of that at this wedding. It was truly an honor and a pleasure meeting, visiting and working with the families. I wish the new couple many years of happiness. And, I thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your special day.
